Strides for Stroke: Supporting Life After Stroke

21st Annual Dr. Howard Mazer Memorial
Strides for Stroke 5K Run/Walk

Sunday, June 14, 2015
7:00am – 11:00am
The Philadelphia Museum of Art

In the amount of time it takes the average person to walk a 5K race, nearly 70 people will suffer a stroke. That’s staggering. Through your support of this important community event, DVSC will be able to provide education and research into the causes, treatment and prevention of stroke.

The Dr. Howard Mazer Memorial Strides for Strokes 5K Run/Walk is an annual sponsored run/walk. It is an opportunity for the community to raise money to support programs that help stroke survivors lead productive lives and become more included in their communities. Join the fun and register today!

Since the first Strides for Stroke Race in 1996, our Stroke educators have helped thousands of people in the greater Delaware Valley. In addition, DVSC has helped more than 20 Pennsylvania and New Jersey hospitals become Joint Commission Certified Primary Stroke Centers that meet the specialized needs of Stroke patients.

“People see that it’s really served their family well; it’s served their community well, so they’re committed to it. That’s why we come out every year for Strides.” -- Jason Miller Jr., Miller Team

Your support of Strides for Stroke allows us to educate people on the signs and symptoms of stroke, what to do in an emergency, and how to support survivors and caregivers.

Working and walking together, we will minimize the devastating impact of stroke. Form a team and get registered!

Whether you walk or run, please join us on Sunday, June 14 at the Philadelphia Museum of Art for the 21st Annual Dr. Howard Mazer Memorial Strides for Stroke 5K Run & Walk. Registration starts at 7:00am with the Main Event starting at 8:30am.

We need your help to make our goal a reality. This year we are striving to raise $60,000 with 2,100 participants.

Our Sleep-In Option is back by popular demand. Even if you can’t join us the day of the event, you can still participate in Strides for Stroke.
